Home » Sequoyah Dental Arts of Knoxville, TN is still available for emergency dentistry during COVID-19 changes

During this time, we understand how the unknowns of the COVID-19 pandemic can cause anxiety among our patients in the area of Knoxville, TN and around the United States. Here at Sequoyah Dental Arts, we are taking great care to reduce the risks of this disease and help flatten the curve while still providing emergency and non-elective dentistry services. Dr. Pablo Foncea is closely following the guidelines and recommendations of both the Tennessee Board of Dentistry and the American Dental Association to ensure the health and safety of our patients. Individuals in the community who need urgent care with a dental professional are encouraged to call our practice for assistance.

What emergency dental services are being provided at this time?

There are many situations that may qualify as an emergency dental need. This may include:

  • Broken restorations, including porcelain veneers, dental crowns, or dentures
  • Lost restorations, including bridges and dental fillings
  • Damage and injury to the soft tissues of the mouth
  • Treatments for severe periodontal disease

We are following the close recommendations of our local associations to provide individual care based on patient needs. Any patients who had an existing hygiene appointment or special elective care treatments will be rescheduled at a later time. Our front office team is focused on ensuring we see the patients who need immediate care while delaying other treatments that are considered “non-essential” during this difficult time.
