Dr. Foncea was happy to visit Hiwassee College recently to discuss the effects of TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) and the importance of occlusion. The students learned from Dr. Foncea what to look for and what is considered proper occlusion (bite). In dentistry occlusion is |

important because it affects many aspects of an individual�s dental health such as the ability to chew properly, health of the teeth and jaw muscle. Since students at Hiwassee College are studying to become hygienists and dental assistants it is important for them to know how the jaw works in relation to overall dental health.

What are Porcelain Veneers?
