What’s new at our Practice?
Dr. Foncea will be back in the office during the week of October 23 to see patients. He and the team will be 'Walking for the cure' that Saturday and would love for you to join them.

You can join or support our team as we try to reach our goal of $3000. After the walk you are invited to a Panera breakfast. Follow this link to join today and help us help others.
Message from Dr. Foncea from Guatemala
This is one of the most famous spots in Antigua, Guatemala. They have kept the cobblestone streets which add to the charm of this place. It's a place that beauty can be found down every street. It's also a place in which the effect of poverty is easy to see just around the corner. Casa de Jackson is an infant nutrition center (about a ten minute walk from the arch) where our family is volunteering. Check us out on Face Book

Adios.

A tasty way to prevent tooth decay
A team from Ireland’s Athlone Institute of Technology has discovered that enzyme-modified coconut oil may be effective in inhibiting tooth decay. Modified coconut oil inhibits the growth of the bacteria Streptococcus mutans, which produces an acid that is a major cause of decay.

Studies suggest that the modified coconut oil may be a boon to the oral healthcare industry and dental patients everywhere. Coconut oil would be a terrific and tasty alternative to chemicals in toothpastes, mouthwashes and other oral care products.

Scientists have been turning their attention to alternate ways to halt microbial infections, because of their growing resistance to traditional antibiotic treatments. Patient’s taste buds, as well as their teeth may benefit from this new discovery.
It’s Halloween!
We wish that you all like the treats, but remember to brush those teeth!! Here is a Halloween poem to make you smile....
